Day 1: Los Angeles / Sao Paulo, Brazil
Depart Los Angeles for an overnight flight via Sao Paulo to Rio de Janeiro.
Day 2: Sao Paulo / Rio de Janeiro (B/L/D)
Arrive early morning in Rio de Janeiro. Warm welcome and greetings from your tour guide. First, a cable car will take you to the summit of Sugarloaf to have a better view of the Municipal Theatre, the Candelaria Church and Sao Benito Monastery. Then will continue to the edge of Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, which meets the Copacabana Beach. At night stay in Rio.
Day 3: Rio de Janeiro (B/L/D)
You will visit H. Stern, the second largest jewelry center in the world; and the Maracana Soccer Stadium, the largest soccer stadium in the world.
Day 4: Rio de Janeiro / Iguassu (B/L/D)
Depart today for your flight to Iguassu Falls, which is more spectacular than Niagara Falls. This afternoon's excursion will be made to the Itaipu Dam, a joint project between Brazil and Paraguay. In the evening you will be amazed by the color and rhythm of Brazil beautiful girls’ lively Samba show.
Day 5: Iguassu Falls (B/L/D)
Today, a whole day escorted walking tour to the Brazilian side of the falls through path footbridges and velvederes. 275 cascades from a mile and a half long crescent where torrents of water plunge down to the basin in cataract 230 feet high; all strategically placed to give the tourist the best view allowing you to see each and every fall. A panoramic elevator can reach the bottom of the falls.
Day 6: Iguassu Falls (Border of Argentina) / Manaus (B/L/D)
After the tour of Iguassu Falls, a guide will accompany you as you drive across the border from Brazil towards the Argentina side of the amazing falls; in the afternoon you will be transferred for your flight to Manaus via Sao Paulo.
Day 7: Manaos / Amazon Cruise (B/L/D)
After breakfast, board the beautiful cruise. Presentation on board of staff, route and facilities. Welcome drink. Navigation past Manaus to the Xiborena region. Canoe trip in smaller creeks to see life on the flood plains: jute, market-garden produce, rubber trees, as well as fold plain forest and lakes with giant water lilies (in season). This trip returns after sunset, so that we can observe night life, including caimans. Navigations up the Amazon (the upper part of it called Solimoes by the natives) to Lake Janauaca. Dinner on the way.
Day 8: Amazon River (Cruise) (B/L/D)
Early morning canoe trip for bird-watching. There are good chances of seeing Hoatzins and large flocks of Egrets and Cirmrants. Breakfast. Visit to the inhabitants of the lake who live from manioc plantations, fishing, diverse fruit trees, rubber, Brazil-nut trees, wood and other extractive products. Walk in the forest with commentaries by the specialist. Lunch. Navigation. Fishing for piranhas and other types of fish. Dinner. Night trip to see nocturnal animals, sometimes including night-hawk, snakes, Toro-rats, sloths and frogs. Navigation downstream on the Amazon.
Day 9: Amazon River (Cruise) / Manaos / Brasilia (B/L/D)
Early morning bird-watching trip in the January Ecological Park and nearby water ways. Breakfast Navigation to the “Meeting of the Waters”. In afternoon take a flight to Brasilia - the capital of Brazil. Dinner, check-in to hotel.
Day 10: Brasilia (B/L/D)
Today, touring through the nation's capital, enjoy city unique and modernistic architecture that designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer--- Square of Three Powers (The Congress, President's Palace, and the Supreme Court), National Congress, the military sector with army's headquarters, JK Memorial, Itamarati Palace and the Palace of the Dawn (President's official residence).
Day 11: Brasilia / Sao Paulo / Los Angeles (B/L/D)
In the morning, you will be transferred for your flight to Sao Paulo. You will visit to the Government Palace, Ipiranga Palace, Statue of the Bandeirantes, the royal garden of European style, the Ibirapuera Monument and Parks. In the later evening, you will be transferred for your flight to Los Angeles.
Day 12: Los Angeles
Today your homebound flight will bring you back to Los Angeles in the morning to complete this pleasant trip!
