Day 1: Los Angeles, CA - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Depart Los Angeles for the flight to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Day 2: Rio de Janeiro City Tour - Samba Parade Grand Opening at the Sambodrome (L/D)
Arrive early morning in Rio de Janeiro. Warm welcome and greeting from your tour guide. In the afternoon, you will visit the Maracana Soccer Stadium, the largest soccer stadium in the world. After dinner, transfer to the Sambodrome, where the Grand Opening Night of the Samba Parade will be held. The Sambodrome can accommodate 68000 spectators. There are total 14 Schools of Samba in Brazil; each school has 3000 to 5000 members and students. Every school will send in 10 floats to attend the parade for competition. Each night there will be 5 to 12 groups of Samba Parades at the Sambodrome. Each group cannot spend over one hour time, over the time limit; the judges will deduct points in its score. The parade will last from 9pm in the evening until 6am next day.
Day 3: Rio de Janeiro (B/L/D)
You will have time to take a rest in the morning after spending the night at the Sambodrome or free for your own leisure. Today, you make your way through the cobblestone streets of Paineiras to the city of Corcovado and the statue of Christ the Redeemer. Afternoon visit Bara District, Beaches, and Rio's largest shopping mall. Evening optional Samba Dance Learning Class. You will learn the basics from the Samba Dance teacher for two (2) hours if you join this optional event. The price also includes the colorful & feathered Samba hand-made head decorations by the local Indian. Those who do not wish to take the dance lesson can stroll around the festive streets of Rio.
Day 4: Rio de Janeiro - Carnival Street Parade (B/L/D)
Today, a two-stage cable car will take you to the summit of Sugarloaf to have a better view of the Municipal Theatre, the Candelaria Church and Sao Benito Monastery. Then will continue to the edge of Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, which meets the Copacabana Beach. After lunch, visit H. Stern, the second largest jewelry center in the world. In the afternoon, free to join the Carnival street parade with Samba dance just learnt from your Samba teacher last night.
Day 5: Rio de Janeiro - Iguassu Falls (B/L/D)
Today take your flight to Iguassu Falls, which is more spectacular than Niagara Falls. This afternoon's excursion will be made to the Itaipu Dam, a joint project between Brazil and Paraguay.
Day 6: Iguassu Falls (B/L/D)
Today, a whole day escorted walking tour to the Brazilian side of the falls through path footbridges and belvederes, 275 cascades from a mile and a half long crescent where torrents of water plunge down to the basin in cataract 230 feet high; all strategically placed to give the tourist the best view allowing you to see each and every fall. A panoramic elevator can reach the bottom of the falls. In the evening you will be amazed by the color and rhythm of Brazil at a lively Samba show.
Day 7: Iguassu Falls - Buenos Aires, Argentina (B/L/D)
After the tour of Iguassu Falls, a guide will accompany you as you drive across the border from Brazil towards the Argentina side of the amazing falls; in the afternoon you will be transferred for your flight to Buenos Aires. In the evening, enjoy a famous Tango Show and a luscious dinner at a typical Argentina restaurant.
Day 8: Buenos Aires - Gauchos Ranch - Buenos Aires (B/L/D)
Today, stroll the city of broad boulevards, sidewalk cafes, mansions and monuments of Buenos Aires and visit the May Square, the Government House, the Boca District and the famous Colon Opera House. In the afternoon, transfer to Tigre for sightseeing. Tigre is a summer escapade for the high classes in the city. On-board a River Cruise of the Parana for few hours of relaxation. Along the journey, you can view the beautiful sceneries and high-class villas by the riverbank. Later visit the small town of San Isidro and take the famous tourist train - Tren de La Costa. After dinner, there will be a "free" one-hour learning class of Tango Dance in the hotel (from 7pm to 8pm). If you wish to learn two (2) hours, there will be a minimal fee by the professional teacher. After the learning lesson, you can ask the teacher to take to the so-called "Tango Bar" to practice what you learn or you may even ask the Tango experts in the bar for more guidance. The fee in the bar is affordable to anyone enjoying the Tango dance. (As a friendly reminder: please don't forget to pay tips to your professional Tango teacher). For those who are not interested in the learning class, you may take a walk in the crowed and busy street of the city of Buenos Aires and feel the excitement of the Argentine night life.
Day 9: Buenos Aires - Gauchos Ranch - Santiago, Chile (B/L/D)
Your full-day voyage out of the city brings you to the vast Argentine Pampas. Enjoy the native dance. You can tour the grain plantations and see horseback and carriage rides, experiencing the local traditions and the daily life of the Gauchos. Watch their folkdance & tango shows, attract by their beautiful costumes, and meet with the friendly people. Enjoy the famous Argentine wine together with the favorite barbecue meals - the barbecued beef is one of the best in the world. After a sumptuous barbecue lunch, you can relax and wonder around the acreage to see the livestock and grain plantations or take a carriage ride on your own expenses. In the evening, you will be transferred to airport for your flight to Santiago.
Day 10: Santiago (B/L/D)
Today a full day tour includes La Moneda, the official Government Palace the Cathedral National Museum, and nearby San Cristobal Hill with its landmark statue of the Virgin Mary. Your tour ends at the Plaza de Armas, the main square, with a visit to the 18th-century Cathedral.
Day 11: Santiago - Isla Negra - Lima, Peru (B/L/D)
Departure from your hotel to the resort named Isla Negra this magic place is surrounded by beautiful pines with interesting aromas, here we will visit the House-Museum of Pablo Neruda the most famous poet. Nobel Prize of literature in 1971 with amazing collections of bottles: shells and others things collected by poet during his lifetime. Tour to view the famous Stone Heads originated from Easter Island. After that we are going to move to the pottery village of Pomaire. Then fly to Lima in the evening.
Day 12: Lima - Nazca - Ica (B/L/D)
After breakfast, bus transfer to NAZCA LINES. On the way, you can enjoy the view of desert and Pacific Ocean. After 6 hours, you can overview the lines from the summit of the mountain. Some theories only explain its possible construction associated to extraterrestrial beings. The geoglyphs depict Indian living creatures, plants or imaginary figures, as well as geometric figures several kilometers long. *You also can take flight to overview the Nazca Lines (30 minutes approximately). After lunch in NAZCA, you will view the famous Huacachina Lake in the desert. Then stay overnight in Ica.

Day 13: Ica - Paracas - Lima(B/L/D)
After breakfast, a boat trip will take you to the Islands populated with millions of seabirds and sea lions. You will also discover the ancient mystery of Inca Culture -."Candle of the Andes"(or Candelabro). After lunch return back to Lima.
Day 14: Lima (B/L/D)
Today you will visit Lima's most imposing colonial churches and mansions such as the Government Palace, the Plaza Mayor, including 17th century San Francisco Monastery, Plaza de Armas, then continue to Miraflores, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Last stop to the Indian Market for buy some handicrafts. After dinner, transfer to airport fly back to Los Angeles.
Day 15: Los Angeles
Today your homebound flight will bring you back to Los Angeles in the morning to complete this pleasant trip!
