| Day 1: Los Angeles - Lima, Peru | ||||||
| Depart Los Angeles for the flight to Lima for your transfer to Cuzco. | ||||||
| Day 2: Lima - Cuzco (B/L/D) | ||||||
| In the morning, take a flight to Cuzco. Upon arrival in Cuzco, transfer to hotel. Afternoon city tour of Cuzco, the former Capital of the Inca Empire, sightseeing includes visits to the Temple of the Sun, the Cathedral with its magnificent collection of gold and silver, the ancient fortress of Sacsayhuaman, the amphitheater of Qenko and Tambomachay and the Royal bath of the Incas. Evening at leisure to stroll along the quaint streets of Cuzco. | ||||||
| Day 3: Cuzco - Machu Picchu - Cuzco (B/L/D) | ||||||
| Take a train to Machu Picchu. It is a city located high in the Andes Mountains in modern Peru. It lies 43 miles northwest of Cuzco at the top of a ridge, hiding it from the Urabamba gorge below. The ridge is between a block of highland and the massive Huaynac Picchu, around which the Urubamba River takes a sharp bend. The surrounding area is covered in dense bush, some of it covering Pre-Colombian cultivation terraces. Afternoon return to Cuzco. | ||||||
| Day 4: Cuzco - Juliaca - Puno (B/L/D) | ||||||
| Cuzco city tour in the morning. Leave for Juliaca after lunch then transfer to Puno (1.5 hour). Upon arrival in Puno, start a panoramic tour of the historic center of thr city, visiting the Main Square. Check-in hotel. | ||||||
| Day 5: Puno - Lake Titicaca- Puno (B/L/D) | ||||||
| Breakfast in the hotel. The tour starts with an early ride in a motorboat stopping first at the Uros floating islands for a visit. Fishermen and hunters inhabit these islands. After approximately three hours, the tour arrives at Taquile Island, where there are numerous pre-Inca and Inca ruins and terraces. The island is only about .62 mile wide and 3.7 to 4.3 mile long. The Taquile population was relatively isolated from the mainland until the 1950s. The notion of community is still strong among the people. This is also reflected in the strong organization of community life and collective decision-making. Taquile Island is famous for its craft production, particularly weaving that dates back to the ancient Inca, Pukara and Colla civilizations. The visit could be exhausting due to the steep path that goes up to the village and the altitude (13,000 ft.). They have a local museum of traditional costumes. Lunch and dinner included. To avoid altitude sickness, take medicine 48 hours before arriving. Return to Puno and hotel at night. | ||||||
| Day 6: Puno - Lima (B/L/D) | ||||||
| Fly to Lima after breakfast. Start Lima city tour in the afternoon, visit Lima's most imposing colonial churches and mansions such as the Government Palace, the Plaza Mayor, including 17th century San Francisco Monastery, Plaza de Armas, then continue to Miraflores, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Last stop to the Indian Market for shopping of some handicrafts. | ||||||
| Lima - Paracas - Ica - Nazca - Ica (B/L/D) | ||||||
| After breakfast, a boat trip will take
you to the Islands populated with millions of seabirds and sea lions. You
will also discover the ancient mystery of Inca Culture -"Candle of the Andes"(or
Candelabro). After lunch take bus transfer to Ica. *You also can take flight to overview the Nazca Lines. You can overview the lines from the summit of the mountain. Some theories only explain its possible construction associated to extraterrestrial beings. The geoglyphs depict Indian living creatures, plants or imaginary figures, as well as geometric figures several kilometers long. Overnight in Ica. (* Optional Tour, $96 per person) |

| Day 8: Ica - Lima (B/L/D) | ||||||
| Breakfast in the hotel. Our customers are picked up from the comfort of your hotel on time. Then we start our city tour with a visit to an old warehouse where it is made of grape brandy known as Pisco famously. Here we learn the whole process of how to do the Pisco, guided by an experienced warehouse worker. After visiting the winery, visitors will be invited to taste or try different types of Pisco and wine that the winery produces. Our tour continues with a visit to the Museo Regional de Ica, undoubtedly one of the best museums on the south coast of Peru. Here visitors can see interesting ancient remains of different cultures that developed in the department of Ica. Finally we head to the Oasis of Huacachina, which is located just 5 km from the center of the city of Ica. This beautiful lake visitors can enjoy the tranquility of the place and walk around looking for good photos. The huge sand dunes that surround the lake allow visitors to practice one of the most exciting sports in the area, on the sand table, popularly called sandboarding (not included). Finally, Return to Lima for dinner, afterward transfer to the airport for the flight back to the U.S. | ||||||
